What is our version of fitness?
Our version of fitness is a simple one, be physically able to say yes to more things and be able to do them for longer. This could be training to run your first 5km or marathon race, carrying the shopping up the local hill from the supermarket, or having the stamina to chase the kids around the garden!
If we think of our overall fitness as our readiness to undertake an activity, we are aiming to feel free to choose what we want to do, rather than our lack of fitness dictating this decision for us and telling us we can’t do it!
As anyone who has experienced an injury or has been unwell knows, our body will tell us we are unable to do something through pain or heavy breathing. It does this in quite an emotionally harsh and involuntary way too!
Here at Bottom Line Fitness, our members do hard things voluntarily on their own turns so their bodies and minds are more resilient and hardy towards future challenging things. We also get a deep sense of satisfaction when we have decided to prepare for tomorrow by doing something hard today, and our reward is a big hit of feel good hormones that keeps us coming back to challenge ourselves more and more!
Our Personal Training in Little Eaton, Derby, gives members a fun environment to condition themselves alongside likeminded members so they have the freedom to say yes to more. They can join that long walk with their friends, they can help their family move house and are strong enough to move that heavy thing in the garden.
So why not give our 6 week trial a go and become more free to say yes to the physical things you enjoy!
Let us know in the comments how you have prepared to do hard things this week?
